Hello and welcome!
I am so, so exited to have you visiting this blog! If you are reading this first post you are probably wondering what this site is all about. This blog is really all about three different people. Let me explain.
Firstly, and most importantly, this blog is about Him. If you know me in real life or if you are just meeting me online for the first time, then you have to know that I love God with all of my heart, all of my soul and all of my mind.
You ever have that one friend that is in love and won’t shut up about the guy she loves? I’m that friend and Jesus is my guy. Loving him is *the* best thing that has and will ever happen to me. I need him every day of my life, and without him my life would be meaningless, unproductive, depressing and empty.
He is the one that fills me with peace, joy and a myriad of other wonderful things. If I do anything noteworthy in this life, it’s only because of Him. He is the bedrock and foundation of everything I do.
This blog was an idea that I believe truely came from God’s heart to mine. If you’ve every had questions about who God is or how He works, I want to help you answer those questions.
It’s my desire that you would come to an understanding of not just who He is and how he works, but also come to an understanding of how He feels about you.
(Spoiler alert: He LOVES you!)
Secondly, this blog is about her. The woman I am talking about is my wonderful mom who I lost in a car accident in 2016. Even typing those words seems unreal. Since then, I have never been able to quite find a way to express her legacy in a meaningful way. A social media post here and there did not seem sufficient to communicate how much she means to me and how much of an impact she made on my life. On the other hand, the idea of a foundation or non-profit in her name seemed overwhelmingly big. I have spent the last several years trying to find a way to honor and remember her. This blog is a way for me to do just that.
If I had just a few words to describe my mom, they would be: bright, energetic, intelligent, witty, beautiful, sensitive and strong. For those who knew her, you understood that my mom was a ray of sunshine. She was upbeat and very energetic. The lady was downright hyper. She was always talking and always laughing, often times doing both of those things to herself by herself!
She is the inspiration behind a lot of the Hi Mamacita branding. If she and I spoke on the phone or saw each other in person, the first thing she would say is, “Hi Mamacita!” It was her way of greeting me. Now, it’s my way of greeting you while remembering her.
True to her sunny disposition, her favorite flowers were sunflowers which you find in our logo. In our brand name, in our logo and in these posts, you will hear more about her life and her legacy.
This is for you, mom. I love you more.
Lastly, this blog is for one more very, very special person…YOU! Yes, this blog is for you. It’s no mistake that you are reading this. Maybe you came here on purpose, or maybe you stumbled upon this site. No matter how you arrived, you were meant to be here reading these words. I am a firm believer that nothing happens by accident.
As you hang out here and continue to read the words on the pages of this website, it is my prayer that you would find encouragement for those days when you are feeling down, an inspiring idea or a place to be challenged towards growth.
My goal is to help you see yourself through God’s eyes, help lead you closer to Him, and help you build a life that honors God. Whether you are just starting out on this path, or are already taking deeper walks with God, amazing things will happen in you and through you.
Once again, I am so excited that you are here! Stick around and be apart of the Hi Mamacita familia from the very beginning. Not only will you see the growth for us, but I am confident that you will experience growth as well.
Con mucho amor, Mamacita!
